Mark Compton, EA, ATA, ATP, ABA, ARA Mark is an Enrolled Agent, Accredited Tax Advisor, Accredited Tax Preparer, Accredited Business Accountant, and Accredited Retirement Advisor.  He and his wife, Patty make their home in rural Oneida, Illinois.  Mark was raised on a grain & livestock farm in Northern Illinois.  Before getting into the accounting business, he was an owner/manager of a 500-sow farrow to feeder pig operation.  Along with the daily activities of running the practice, Mark keeps up with all of the required courses involved in staying current with tax and accounting laws.  He enjoys helping and working with people and looks forward to serving you. Gaye Norberg, Alpha ~ Accounting Specialist Gaye joined the Compton staff in April 2004.  She is the office manager for the Altona office.  She lives in Alpha with her husband Steve.  They have three sons, Eric, Danny & Brian, as well as a new daughter-in-law Emily, who joined the family in April 2010 when she married Eric.  As she prepares for an empty next at home, she enjoys baking, photography, and spending time with family and friends. Kim Roberts, Altona ~ Accounting Specialist Kim R joined the Compton staff in January 2002.  She earned a Certificate in Accounting from Carl Sandburg College.  Kim is a great asset to the accounting staff and is also an expert at our e-filing system.  She resides in Altona with her husband Jody and daughter Katelynn.  She enjoys spending time with her family. Michelle Keener, Altona ~ Accountant Michelle joined the Compton staff in December 2005.  She lives in Altona with her husband David, and children Mike & Mykaela.  Michelle graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors of Business in Accounting.  She enjoys crafting, cooking, photography, and spending time with her family and their hobbies and sporting events. Tammy Sterling, Galva ~ Accounting Specialist Tammy joined the Compton staff in May 2007.  She lives in Galva with her boyfriend Al Johnson.  Her children are Nathan, Sarah and her husband Brandon, and Karla.  She has one grandson, Devan, & one granddaughter, Cheyenne.  She enjoys spending time with her family. Michelle Graves, Altona ~ Accounting Specialist Michelle joined the Compton staff in December 2007.  She lives in the country near Altona with her husband Dale.  In her spare time she likes spending time with their dog Dixie or reading a good book. Kelly Compton, Oneida ~ Accountant Kelly is Mark's youngest daughter.  She joined the staff in Altona full time in January 2009.  Kelly graduated from Monmouth College with a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration in 2008.  In her free time she is involved in Knox County Young Farmers, ROWVA FFA Alumni.  She also enjoys gardening and spending time with family and friends.  Peggy Peterson, Rio ~ Audit Specialist Peggy is the veteran in the office.  She has worked with us for over 10 years and has prepared taxes for over 25 years.  She lives near Rio.  She enjoys reading and collecting turtles. Patty Compton, Oneida ~ Office Assistant Yes, Patty is married to the boss.  She helps out whenever needed, especially during tax season.  The rest of her time is spent working part-time at Anderson State Bank and spending time with her family.

New Windsor  Jean Barrington, Alexis ~ Accounting/Tax Specialist Jean joined the Compton staff in 1989 in the Altona office.  She is now the Office Manager for the New Windsor office.  She lives near Alexis with her husband Kent, and children, Alison and Tyler.  She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Ag-Business.  Jean is an Enrolled Agent and can practice before the IRS.  She spends her free time with her children and their activities, gardening and teaching Sunday school. Julia Lindbom, Woodhull ~ Accounting Specialist Julia joined the Compton staff in March of 2008, in the Altona office.  She then moved to the New Windsor office in May of 2008.  She lives in the country near Woodhull with her husband Matt and two sons, Tyler and Cole.  In her free time you will find her in her garden, in the kitchen cooking/baking something or reading a great book.    Kewanee Kimberly Wexell, Cambridge ~ Accounting Specialist Kim W joined the Compton staff November 2004.  She earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Black Hawk College.  She has many years of experience with accounting and taxes.  She resides north of Bishop Hill with her husband Jeff and sons Cody, Kyle, and Brett.  She enjoys cross stitch, baseball and golf.   Compton Accounting ~ 309-484-8888 ~ www.comptonaccounting.com ~ Altona, Illinois
